Tee Up for Koalas
Enjoy a day of golfing while saving local Koalas from the life-threatening disease chlamydia. Rotary Club of Currumbin Coolangatta Tweed is a founding supporter of the Koala Chlamydia Vaccine Program and invites you to their annual Golf Day. All ticket proceeds will go towards the vaccine program to ensure a future for this iconic species.
About This Event
Step onto the lush greens at Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club for a day of golfing fun while making a real difference for local Koalas. Meet like-minded people, connect and support wildlife by taking part in an exciting Four-Ball Mixed Ambrose golfing tournament. With every swing, you will help a Koala suffering from chlamydia – the leading cause of death of the local Koala population.
This is a non-walking event with golf cart and club hire available at the club. You can register as a team or join one of ours – everyone is welcome, including non-golfers who would like to just have a shot. Prizes, competitions and a delicious BBQ lunch included. Registrations close 30th August 2025.
Come and have a swing while supporting local Koalas!

About the Program
The Koala Chlamydia Vaccine Program has reached a critical milestone, with over 500 Koalas now vaccinated against the terrible disease and encouraging signs of increased fertility.
This groundbreaking research program, now in its 5th and final year, offers real hope for reversing the devastating impacts of chlamydia on local Koala populations.
