If you are an Australian or New Zealand student studying Veterinary Medicine who is interested in undertaking clinical placement at Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, please see below for further information on the program and how to apply.

Placements are between 2-4 weeks.

Application Process

Submit an application via our third-party software, Better Impact, following the steps below. We don’t accept applications made through your placement supervisor. Applications are open from 1st February to 30th April for placements commencing the following year.

Note – due to the competitive nature of applications, placements are confirmed one year in advance. We recommend preparing applications early for your best chance at success. 

What to Include in Your Application

  • Include your resume and a cover letter explaining why you would be a good candidate to undertake placement at Currumbin Wildlife Hospital
  • Provide 3 placement periods in order of preference
  • Highlight any experience you have working with wildlife
  • Highlight clear interest in pursuing a career contributing to the care and conservation of wildife

What to Expect Once You Applied

  • Once you submitted your application, you will receive a brief email to confirm that we received your application
  • Applications close on 30th April each year.
  • You will receive an email to inform you of the outcome of your application

Jingeri – Hello

We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the greater Yugambeh language region, the Country on which Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and Hospital are situated today.
